Project Description
MacKay was awarded the TCH Hwy. #1 Beaver Valley Ponding Phase 2, Mounds Avalanche Berm project in July 2018. The project involves unexploded ordnance search due to avalanche control, excavation from a landslide area to construct a traffic ponding area and avalanche berm. We are also constructing design-build reinforced slopes as well as drainage works.
This project will improve safety and winter reliability of the Trans Canada Highway with the construction of roadside vehicle storage and an avalanche berm.
