Project Description

MacKay was the successful contractor to complete the Blakiston Creek Bank Protection project for Parks Canada. The work included:

  • Repair damage from the 2013 Southern Alberta Flooding
  • Clearing flood debris
  • Realigning the river bank
  • Supplying and place 1200m3 Class 2 Rip Rap
  • Apply rip rap protection around bridge piers.

The project involved in-stream work utilizing sanitized heavy equipment with biodegradable oils and was completed on schedule and under budget to the satisfaction of the client.
